10.44.010 - Commercial vehicles using private driveways.

No person shall operate or drive a commercial vehicle in, on or across any private driveway approach or sidewalk area or the driveway itself without the consent of the owner or occupant of the property, if a sign or markings are in place indicating that the use of such driveway is prohibited. For the purpose of this regulation, a "commercial vehicle" means a vehicle having a rated capacity in excess of one-half ton.

10.44.020 - New pavement markings.

No person shall ride or drive any animal or any vehicle over or across any newly made pavement or freshly painted markings in any street when a barrier sign, cone-marker or other warning device is in place warning persons not to drive over or across such pavement or marking, or when any such device is in place indicating that the street or any portion thereof is closed.

10.44.030 - Barriers, signs—Placement authority.

No person, public utility or department in the town shall erect or place any barrier or sign on any street unless of a type approved by the traffic engineer or disobey the instructions, remove, tamper with or destroy any barrier or sign lawfully placed on any street by any person, public utility or by any department of this town.

10.44.040 - Barriers, signs—Obedience—Moving.

No person shall operate a vehicle contrary to the directions or provisions of any barrier or sign erected in accordance with any laws of the town or by any public utility, or by any other person pursuant to law or contract with the town, nor shall any unauthorized person move or alter the position of any such barrier or sign.

10.44.050 - Excessive acceleration of motor vehicles.

It is unlawful for any person operating a motor vehicle within the town to accelerate such vehicle and cause audible noise by tire friction on the pavement or to cause the tires of such vehicle to leave skid marks upon the pavement, except when such acceleration is reasonably necessary to avoid a collision. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of an infraction which shall be punishable to the extent of the laws of this state for infractions.

10.44.060 - Driving over curb, gutter, culvert, etc.

It is unlawful for any vehicle to be driven or operated on or over any curb, gutter, culvert or adjoining sidewalk in the town, except where a driveway or other vehicle parking area has been constructed.
