2.38.010 - Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter and Chapters 2.40 and 2.44 is to implement the requirements of the Planning Act, specifically Section 65100 of the Government Code.

2.38.020 - Creation—Membership.

There is created a planning agency which is composed of the following:

A. County board of supervisors;

B. County planning commission;

C. County planning department.

2.38.030 - Function.

The functions of the planning agency are as follows:

A. It shall develop and maintain a general plan;

B. It shall develop such specific plans as may be desirable or necessary;

C. It shall periodically review the capital improvement program of the county;

D. It shall perform such other functions as the board of supervisors may provide.

2.38.040 - Board of supervisors duties.

The board of supervisors, as a part of the Calaveras County planning agency, shall have such duties as are prescribed by state and local law.
