1310.6 Backfilling and Trenching.

The installation procedure for underground piping shall protect the piping from physical damage while being backfilled. [NFPA 99:5.1.10.11.5.2] 1310.6.1 Conduit, Cover, or Enclosure. If underground piping is protected by a conduit, cover, or other enclosure, the following requirements shall be met: (1) Access shall be provided at the joints for visual

inspection and leak testing.

1310.7.1 Flexible Connectors. Flexible connectors, metallic or nonmetallic, shall have a minimum burst pressure with a gauge pressure of 1000 psi (6895 kPa).
