Water supply and drainpipes under accessible lavatories and sinks shall be insulated or otherwise be configured to protect against contact. Protectors, insulators, or both shall comply with ASME A112.18.9 or ASTM C1822. [HCD 1-AC] Specific requirements regard- ing accommodations for persons with disabilities are contained in Chapter 11A of the California Building Code.
