2.36.010 - Notice—Required.

The city council of the city, unless otherwise provided by law, shall give notice of each election to be held in the city in the manner set forth in Section 2.36.020.

2.36.020 - Notice—Contents—Posting and publication.

The city council shall cause notices of the election, signed by the president of the city council and by the city clerk, and setting forth the time and place or places for holding the election, the purpose thereof and the names of the election officers appointed therefor, and the time for the opening and closing of the polls, to be posted in three public places in the city, at least two weeks before such election. The board of trustees shall cause a like notice to be published once a week for two successive weeks before the election in some newspaper published and circulated in the city, if there is such a newspaper. The first publication of the notice shall be not fewer than ten days before such election.
