13.08.010 - False reports.

No person shall wilfully and intentionally make to the police department or to any peace officer any false, misleading or unfounded report, for the purpose of interfering with the operation of the police department or with the intention of misleading any law enforcement officer.

13.08.020 - False impersonation of officer.

No person shall falsely impersonate or cause or permit to be falsely impersonated the sheriff, chief of police, district attorney or city prosecutor, or member of the State Highway Patrol, or a deputy or representative of either. No person shall wear the uniform of the sheriff, police department, State Highway Patrol, or deputies thereof, or any part of such uniform or any uniform, part of which is similar to the uniform of the sheriff, police or State Highway Patrol or deputies thereof, unless such a person is a member of such organization.

13.08.030 - Misdemeanor violations.

Any person violating the provisions, or failing to comply with any of the requirements, of the chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor as provided in chapter 1.04 of the Victorville Municipal Code.

13.08.040 - Administrative citation.

The city manager or his designee may issue an administrative citation and/or assess an administrative fine for the violation of any of the provisions of this Chapter as provided in chapter 1.05 of the Victorville Municipal Code.

13.08.050 - Continuing violations.

Each day a violation of this chapter is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense.

13.08.060 - Remedies cumulative.

The remedies provided in this chapter are not to be construed as exclusive remedies and, in the event of violation, the city may pursue any proceedings or remedies otherwise provided by law.
