2.60.010 - Established.¶
A public library is established in the City.

2.60.020 - Board of Trustees—Terms.¶
The public library Shall be managed by a Board of Library Trustees consisting of five members appointed by the president of the Board by Trustees by and with the consent of the Board of Trustees and Shall hold office for three Years serving without compensation; provided, however, that the members of the board Shall so classify themselves by Lot that one of their number go out of office at the end of the current fiscal Year; two at the end of one Year thereafter and the other two at the end of two Years thereafter.

2.60.030 - Meetings.¶
The Colton Board of Library Trustees shall regularly meet at 12:00 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November, at the Main Library, or at such other location as designated and properly noticed within the City of Colton. The Library Board also hold special meetings, pursuant to applicable state law, whenever necessary.

2.60.035 - President.¶
The Board of Library Trustees Shall appoint one of their number president, who Shall serve for one year and until his successor is appointed, and in his presence Shall select a president pro tem.

2.60.040 - Library fund.¶
All gifts to the City for library purposes of any kind Shall be put into a fund known as the library fund and said fund Shall always be controlled and expended by the Board of Library Trustees for the benefit and Use of said library.
