Camarillo Municipal Code Ch. 11.56 Public Bus System Regulations

This chapter shall apply to the use of the public transportation buses owned or operated by or on behalf of the city; "bus" as used in this chapter shall refer to any such bus.

The city council may from time to time adopt, by resolution, a schedule of fares for the city's municipal public bus transportation system.

Passengers shall keep themselves and all packages transported by them to the rear of the driver of the bus while the bus is in motion or transit. Demarcation of the passenger and package area may be indicated by a line on the floor of the bus.

Passengers shall refrain from unnecessary conversation with the driver while the bus is in motion or in transit.

Passengers shall not play radios, tape recorders or other mechanical devices on the bus in such a manner that the sound therefrom is audible to other passengers.

The driver of the bus may order a passenger to leave the bus for cause where he is either in violation of a provision of this chapter or by his conduct is creating a disturbance to the passengers or the driver that interferes with the safe operation of the bus. A passenger so ordered by the driver to leave the bus shall leave immediately.

No passengers, while on a bus, shall smoke, eat or drink.
