Camarillo Municipal Code Ch. 11.36 Private Roads and Parking Facilities

11.36.010 - Parking and roadway areas designated.

A. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 21107.6 of the Vehicle Code, the city council finds and declares that there are privately owned and maintained roads, as described in this subsection, within the city which are generally held open to the public for purposes of vehicular travel to serve commercial establishments. The roads are within and as described in the areas set forth respectively as follows and, therefore, the provisions of the California Vehicle Code apply to them:

B. Pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 21107.8, the city council finds and declares that there are privately owned and maintained off-street parking facilities as described in this subsection that are generally held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular parking. Sections 22507.8, 22350, 23103, 23109, and Division 16.5, commencing with Section 38000 (all of the Vehicle Code of the state), shall apply to such facilities provided the owner or operator has caused to be posted, in a conspicuous place at each entrance to such off-street parking facility, a notice of not less than seventeen by twenty-two inches in size with lettering not less than one inch in height, and providing to the effect that such off-street parking facility is subject to public traffic regulation and control. The parking facilities are as follows:

C. Pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 21107.5, the city council finds and declares that there are privately owned and maintained roads as described in this subsection within the city that are generally held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel and which so connect with highways that the public cannot determine that such roads are not highways. The roads are within and as described in the areas set forth respectively, as follows, and, therefore, the provisions of the California Vehicle Code apply to them:
