In addition to the inspections required by this section, the Authority Having Jurisdiction shall be permitted to require a special inspector, as specified in the building code, during installation of piping systems. In cases where the work authorized was installed in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by a registered design professional, the Authority Having Jurisdiction shall be permitted to require a final signed report stating that the work was installed in accordance with approved plans and specifications and the applicable provisions of this chapter.
