PERSONAL SERVICES

17.78.010 Purpose. 17.78.020 Applicability.

17.78.010 Purpose. The purpose of this Chapter is to establish standards for the location, site planning, development, and operations of certain land uses that are allowed by Article 2, Zoning Districts and Allowable Land Uses, within individual or multiple districts, and for activities that require special standards to minimize the impacts of these uses and activities on surrounding properties and to protect the health, safety, and welfare of their occupants and of the general public.

17.78.020 Applicability. The regulations in this Chapter shall apply to personal services uses as specified below.

17.78.030 Permit Required. All personal services uses shall be subject to approval of the specified permit as detailed in the use tables in Article 2.

Massage Establishments. Massage establishments shall comply with the Tuolumne County Code of Ordinances. Establishments, including sole proprietorships, which offer massage in exchange for compensation that do not comply with the Tuolumne County Code of Ordinances are prohibited.

Tattoo or Body Modification Parlor. Tattoo and body modification parlors shall be located a minimum of 100 feet from a sensitive use unless approved with a Conditional Use Permit.

A. Personal service establishments shall be located, developed, and operated in compliance with the following standards:

1. Hours of Operation. Hours of operation shall be limited to 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. unless otherwise specified in a Conditional Use Permit. 2. Fortune, Palm, and Card Reader. Fortune, palm, and card reader establishments shall be located a minimum of 100 feet from a sensitive use unless approved with a Conditional Use Permit.
