Shasta County Municipal Code Ch. 2.36 Officers Generally

The duties of the offices of treasurer and tax collector of the county of Shasta are consolidated. The person appointed or elected to fill the united and consolidated offices shall take the oath and give the bond required for each, discharge all the duties pertaining to each, and receive the compensation of each of such offices.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 27000.6, the provisions of Government Code Sections 27000.7, 27000.8 and 27000.9, concerning eligibility and continuing education requirements for the county treasurer-tax collector are adopted.

Pursuant to Section 24300 (p) of the Government Code of the state, the duties of the county agricultural commissioner and duties of the county sealer of weights and measures are consolidated.

The provisions of Article 4, Chapter 4, Part 3, Division 2, Title 3 of the Government Code (sections 26945, et seq.) relating to the qualifications and continuing education requirements of the office of county auditor, as now enacted and as may hereafter be amended, are effective within this county.
