Section 401.3.2.1 is added to read as follows:

401.3.2.1 Nuisance alarm notiKcation. NotiZcation of emergency responders based on a nuisance

alarm may be punishable by a Zne in accordance with the adopted fee schedule or requirements. In

addition, the responsible party may be liable for the operational and administrative costs, incurred from

the emergency response or mitigation procedures resulting from a nuisance alarm notiZcation.

Section 401.3.2.2 is added to read as follows:

401.3.2.2 Multiple nuisance alarm activations. Any occupancy that has more than three (3) nuisance

alarms, causing emergency response within a 12-month period may be required to modify, repair,

upgrade or replace their system and/or monitoring station as determined by the Fire Code O\cial.

402.1 DeKnitions.

Section 402.1 is amended to add the following:
