10.44.010 - Crosswalks—Establishment—Maintenance.¶
A. The city traffic and safety commission is authorized to designate the location of marked crosswalks at intersections and other places upon the streets of the city.
B. The city traffic and safety commission shall direct the director of public works to establish and maintain marked crosswalks at all intersections and other places where the city traffic and safety commission determines that there is particular hazard to pedestrians crossing the roadway. When directed by the city traffic and safety commission, the director of public works shall establish, designate and maintain the marked crosswalks by appropriate devices, marks or lines upon the surface on the roadway.

10.44.020 - Crosswalks—Use required in business district.¶
No pedestrian shall cross a roadway other than by a marked or unmarked crosswalk in any business district.

10.44.030 - Crossing roadways.¶
No pedestrian shall cross a roadway at any place other than by a route at right angles to the curb or by the shortest route to the opposite curb except in a marked crosswalk.

10.44.040 - Selling or soliciting in public right-of-way.¶
No person shall sell, offer for sale, or otherwise vend, solicit, or display or give away any newspaper or other printed matter, any merchandise or service from a position or place in or upon any public street or way except by special permit from the police department.
