10.28.010 - Animal-drawn vehicles.¶
No person shall drive any animal-drawn vehicle into or within a business district between the hours of six a.m. to nine a.m. and four-thirty p.m. to six p.m. of any day unless authorized by the police chief.

10.28.020 - Truck routes.¶
A. The city traffic and safety commission, upon consultation with the director of public works shall recommend to the city council that this code designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street the use of which is permitted by any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons. The street director of public works is directed to designate such street or streets by appropriate signs as "truck traffic routes" for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons.
B. When any such truck traffic routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons shall drive, park, stop, or stand on such routes and none other, except when necessary to traverse another street or streets to a destination for the purpose of loading and unloading, but then only by such deviation from the nearest truck route as is reasonably necessary. The provisions of this section shall not apply to passenger busses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission.

10.28.030 - Commercial vehicles.¶
A. The city traffic and safety commission upon consultation with the director of public works shall recommend to the city council that this code designates and describes any street or portion thereof, the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle, the director of public works shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on those streets affected.
B. The director of public works shall maintain a listing of such designated streets.
