15.30.010 - Parking prohibited.¶
When parking restriction areas are specified by an enacting resolution and appropriate curb color or signage is installed, it shall be unlawful to park or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, in a restricted parking zone upon the grounds of the county civic center or other county parking facility, except in designated areas as follows:
(a) Two-hour parking shall be between the hours of seven a.m. and five p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Holidays shall mean only those holidays designated by the board of supervisors under the provision of Section 2.44.040 of this code.
(b) Thirty-minute parking shall be between the hours of seven a.m. and five p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Holidays shall mean only those holidays designated by the board of supervisors under the provision of Section 2.44.040 of this code.
(c) Twenty-minute parking shall be between the hours of seven a.m. and five p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Holidays shall mean only those holidays designated by the board of supervisors under the provision of Section 2.44.040 of this code.
(d) Official vehicle parking where all vehicles have either government license plates or appropriate county permit.
(e) Employee carpool parking where all vehicles must display a valid county carpool permit.
(f) Loading/unloading zone restricted to buses and commercial vehicles actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers and/or freight, to be designated with yellow curb markings per California Vehicle Code Section 21458(a)(2).
(g) Passenger loading/unloading zone designed with white curb markings per the California Vehicle Code Section 21458(a)(3).
(h) Motorcycle parking only.
(i) Four-hour parking shall be between the hours of seven a.m. and five p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Holidays shall mean only those holidays designated by the board of supervisors under the provision of Section 2.44.040 of this code.
(j) Daytime no parking zone shall be between six a.m. and two p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Holidays shall mean only those holidays designated by the board of supervisors under the provision of Section 2.44.040 of this code.
(k) When identified by an enacting resolution of the board of supervisors, a department director may be authorized to issue parking permits and/or exemptions to parking restrictions within areas that his or her department manages or maintains.

15.30.020 - Forty-eight hour limit.¶
It shall be unlawful to park private vehicles in any non-restricted area for a period in excess of forty-eight consecutive hours.

15.30.030 - Driveways, paths and other areas open to the public.¶
Except as provided herein, all the provisions of the California Vehicle Code relating to motorized and non-motorized traffic upon the highways shall be applicable to traffic upon the driveways, paths or grounds of the county civic center and other county-owned facilities.

15.30.040 - Marin County fair parking.¶
The director of parks, open space and cultural services shall designate parking for the county fair.

15.30.050 - Parking within designated stalls.¶
It shall be unlawful to park outside designated parking markings. No portion of a vehicle shall extend beyond the markings.

15.30.060 - Electric vehicle charging station parking stalls.¶
It shall be unlawful to park in a designated electric vehicle charging station parking stall unless the vehicle is a charging electric vehicle.
(a) An electric vehicle (EV) shall be defined as a "motor vehicle" as defined in the California Vehicle Code; and (i) which displays the State of California Air Board ZEV (zero emission vehicle) sticker; or (ii) any vehicle defined by the air resources board as "off-vehicle charge capable" meaning having the capability to charge a battery from an off-vehicle electric energy source that cannot be connected or coupled to the vehicle in any manner while the vehicle is being driven.
(b) "Charging" shall mean an electric vehicle parked at an electric vehicle charging station and is electrically connected to the charging station equipment.
