Editor's note— Ord. No. 509, § I, adopted December 3, 2019, repealed the former Chapter 15.12, §§ 15.12.010—15.12.040, and § II of Ord. No. 509 enacted a new Chapter 15.12 as set out herein. The former Chapter 15.12 pertained to similar subject matter and derived from Ord. No. 483, adopted March 7, 2017.
15.12.010 - California Electrical Code—Adopted by reference.¶
The 2019 edition of the California Electrical Code, Title 24, Part 3, including tables and Appendices A, B, C, F, and G, based on the 2017 National Electrical Code, as published by the National Fire Protection Association and as adopted by the California Building Standards Commission and codified in Title 24, Part 3 of the California Code of Regulations, and all future amendments thereto, are hereby adopted in the City of Ione, except as to amendments and additions contained in this chapter. A copy of this code is available for use and examination by the public at the Office of the Clerk of the City of Ione.

15.12.020 - Section 89.108.4.2 fees.¶
Section 89.108.4.2, fees is amended to read as follows:
89.108.4.2 Fees — Permit fees and plan review fees. Permit fees and plan review fees are set forth by the City Council, and are subject to evaluation and revision from time to time based on current consumer price index and/or other criteria set forth in the City's adopted Building Department fee schedule.

15.12.030 - Enforcement.¶
The California Electrical Code shall be enforced by the Building Department of the City of Ione.

15.12.040 - Penalties.¶
Violation of this chapter is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000.00, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or by both. The imposition of one penalty for any violation shall not excuse the violation or permit the violation to continue. All violations shall be corrected or remedied within a reasonable time and, if not otherwise specified, each ten days that the violation is maintained shall constitute a separate offense. The application of a penalty shall not be held to prevent the enforced removal of prohibited conditions.
