§ 15.14.010. Adoption of the California Energy Code.¶
The California Energy Code, 2025 Edition (Part 6 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations) as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted by reference. One complete copy of the same is on file and is open for inspection by the public in the office of the city clerk and designated as the energy code for the city of Highland. The building official is hereby designated as the authority charged with the administration and enforcement of this code.

§ 15.14.020. Purpose.¶
The purpose of this code is to reduce energy waste, cut costs for residents, and help the state achieve its climate goals by requiring new construction and renovations to incorporate energy-efficient features.
