§ 8.32.010 RESERVED.

§ 8.32.020 STOP SIGNS AT THROUGH HIGHWAYS AND INTERSECTIONS.

(A) Whenever by resolution, the City Council designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a through street or highway, or any intersection at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrance thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain stop signs as follows.

(B) A stop sign shall be erected on each and every street intersecting such through street or portion thereof so designated and at those entrances of other intersections where a stop is required. Every such sign shall conform with and shall be placed as provided in Cal. Vehicle Code § 21355.

§ 8.32.050 RESERVED.

§ 8.32.060 NEW PAVEMENT AND STREET MARKINGS.

No person shall ride or drive any animal or any vehicle over or across any newly made pavement or freshly painted marking in any street when a sign, cone marking or other device is in place warning persons not to drive over or across such pavement or markings, or when a sign is in place stating that the street or any portion thereof is closed.

§ 8.32.070 TRAFFIC BARRIERS.

No person shall operate a vehicle contrary to the direction of provisions of any barrier or sign erected:

(A) Pursuant to the provisions of any ordinance of the city;

(B) By any public utility;

(C) By any department of the city; or

(D) By any person pursuant to law or contract with the city, nor shall any unauthorized person move or alter the position of any such barrier or sign.

§ 8.32.080 RESTRICTED ACCESS.

No person shall drive a vehicle onto or from any freeway or limited access roadway except at such entrances and exits as are established by public authority.

§ 8.32.090 SCHOOL CROSSING TRAFFIC CONTROL.

No person shall refuse or fail to comply with any lawful order, signal or direction of any person appointed by the Chief of Police to control traffic at school crossings, provided that such person giving any order, signal or direction at such school crossing shall at the time be wearing some insignia indicating such appointment.
