2.20.010 - Creation—Membership—Term.¶
A. Pursuant to the authority contained in Section 65300 of the Government Code of the state, a planning commission, consisting of five members, is created for the city.
B. The term of office for each commissioner shall be four years, and the terms shall be staggered.

2.20.020 - Planning commission and city council simultaneous membership.¶
Only one member of the planning commission may be a member of the city council.

2.20.030 - Removal—Vacancies.¶
A. The terms of office of the members of the planning commission shall be four years except that said planning commissioners shall serve at the pleasure of the city council and may be removed from office by the city council at any time.
B. Vacancies, other than those created by the expiration of terms of offices, shall be filled by the city council by appointment for the unexpired term.
C. The term of office of members of the planning commission appointed for four-year terms shall commence on July 1st, and terminate on June 30th, four years thereafter.

2.20.040 - Eligibility for appointment.¶
No person shall be appointed to the planning commission who is not a registered voter and a resident of the city of Farmersville.

2.20.050 - Expenses.¶
No compensation shall be paid to a member of the planning commission for services performed as a member except expenses incurred in the performance of his duty and which have been previously approved by the city council.

2.20.060 - Rules for meetings.¶
The planning commission shall make such rules as it deems proper for the conduct of its meetings except that any action by the planning commission shall require the affirmative votes of at least three members of the planning commission.

2.20.070 - Forfeiture of office in case of certain absences from meetings.¶
Any member of the planning commission who misses three consecutive regular meetings of the planning commission shall forfeit his office and the city council shall declare said office vacant and fill said office as provided in this chapter.
