Sec. 2-41. - Bonds.¶
(a) The officers of the city enumerated below, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, shall execute and file, according to law, a bond with good and sufficient sureties, approved by the council in an amount designated by the council by resolution upon recommendation of the city attorney:

(1) City treasurer.
(2) City clerk.
(b) The penal sum set by the city council may be changed during the term of office of the city treasurer, city clerk, or any other officer required to possess such a bond as prescribed by the council.
(c) Any other officers shall give such bonds as prescribed by the council from time to time.

Sec. 2-42. - Compensation of city treasurer.¶
(a) Salary. The salary of the city treasurer is fixed at the sum of four thousand two hundred dollars ($4,200.00) annually (three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) per month) to be implemented upon the effective date of Ord. No. 05-04.
(b) Health insurance. The city treasurer shall be eligible to participate in the city's comprehensive major medical, dental, life and vision care insurance program. The city shall pay the entire premium of said insurance for the treasurer and his/her dependents.

Sec. 2-43. - Determination of salary of certain appointed officers.¶
The city council shall determine the monthly salaries to be paid appointive officers of the city not covered under the provisions of division 2 of this article.
