Equipment or appliance shall be approved by the Authority Having Jurisdiction for safe use or comply with applicable nationally recognized standards as evidenced by the listing and label of an approved agency. A list of accepted standards is included in Chapter 18. Defective materials or parts shall be replaced in such a manner as not to invalidate an approval.
