HOSE BIBBS

Potable water outlets with hose attachments shall be pro- tected by a nonremovable hose bibb backflow preventer, a nonremovable hose bibb vacuum breaker or by an atmo- spheric vacuum breaker installed not less than 6 inches (152 mm) above the highest point of usage located on the dis- charge side of the last valve as required by the California Plumbing Code. In climates where freezing temperatures occur, a listed self-draining frost-proof hose bibb with an integral backflow preventer or vacuum breaker shall be used. Hose bibbs shall be provided so that all portions of the pool deck area may be reached with a 75 foot length of hose attached to the hose bibb. A hose bibb shall be provided in the equipment area. Hose bibbs shall be located so that they do not constitute a hazard.
