3-110 - Fees for electronic monitoring program.

Fees are hereby established for the administration of the electronic monitoring program by the Butte County Probation Department as an alternative form of detention for youth subject to the jurisdiction of the juvenile court pursuant to the provisions of Welfare and Institutions Code Section 602. Fees for this program shall be as adjusted by Resolution of the Board of Supervisors as part of the Butte County Master Fee Schedule.

3-111 - Liability for electronic monitoring program fees.

The persons who shall be liable for the payment of the fees established by section 3-110 shall be: the father, mother, spouse, or other person liable for the support of a minor, the estate of that person, and the estate of the minor. The liability of these persons and estates shall be a joint and several liability. Provided, however, that liability shall be imposed on a person pursuant to this section only if he or she has the financial ability to pay, as determined pursuant to section 3-112.

3-112 - Financial evaluation officer; evaluation of ability to pay.

The Butte County Treasurer-Tax Collector, or his or her designee, is hereby designated as the county financial evaluation officer for purposes of evaluating the financial ability of persons to pay the fees established in this article. In evaluating the family's financial ability to pay, the county financial officer shall take into consideration the family income, the necessary obligation of the family, and the number of persons dependent upon this income.
