Sec. 4-9.2101. - Prohibitions on sidewalks or streets.¶
It shall be unlawful to ride or propel any skateboard, roller skate or in line skate upon any sidewalk or street so as to interfere with pedestrian or vehicular traffic.

Sec. 4-9.2102. - Prohibitions on private property.¶
It shall be unlawful to ride or propel any skateboard, roller skate or in line skate upon or across any privately owned property without the consent of the owner. This section shall not be enforceable unless the private property owner posts a sign stating "No Skating" at all clearly defined entryways to the property referencing this section; provided, however, that the posting of a sign shall not be required for this section to apply to single family residential property.

Sec. 4-9.2103. - Prohibitions on public property.¶
It shall be unlawful to ride or propel any skateboard, roller skate or in line skate upon any public property if the property owner posts a sign at all clearly defined entryways to the property that prohibits that conduct and references this section.

Sec. 4-9.2104. - Applicability of signs.¶
Any sign posted pursuant to Section 4-9.2101 through and including Section 4-9.2103 which prohibits roller skating shall be deemed to also prohibit in line skating, roller skating and skateboarding unless the sign otherwise provides.

Sec. 4-9.2105. - Endangerment of property, safety or well-being of any person.¶
It shall be unlawful for persons to ride or propel any skateboard, roller skate or in line skate on any public sidewalk or street or private property open to public access in such a manner as to endanger the property, safety or well-being of any person on any public sidewalk or street or private property open to public access.

Sec. 4-9.2106. - Signs.¶
The City Public Works Director is authorized to place and maintain or cause to be placed and maintained such appropriate signs on property owned by the City where the Public Works Director in conjunction with the Chief of Police conclude that prohibiting skating in such areas is in the best interest of the citizens of Yuba City.

Sec. 4-9.2107. - Violations and penalties.¶
A violation of Section 4-9.2101 through and including Section 4-9.2105 shall be punishable as provided for in Title 1, Chapter 2, Section 1-2.02 of the Yuba City Municipal Code entitled "Violations/Infractions."
The violation of Section 4-9.2105 shall be punishable as provided for in Title 1, Chapter 2, Section 1-2.03 of the Yuba City Municipal Code entitled "Certain Violations/Misdemeanors."
