6.04.010 - Duties of health officer.

It shall be the duty of the health officer of the city, under the direction and control of the city council, to enforce in the city the terms and provision of the health and safety code for the city, except as otherwise provided in this title.

6.04.020 - Health officer defined.

For the purposes of enforcement of the provisions of this code, wherever the words "health officer" appear, they mean and include the health officer of the city or any duly appointed and authorized representative of the health officer, including the health officer of the San Bernardino County department of environmental health services providing health services in the city pursuant to the contract.

6.04.030 - Rules and regulations.

The health officer shall prepare and promulgate rules and regulations for the purpose of control and regulation of the various places and businesses subject to the provisions of this code, and for the information and guidance of the owners, operators and employees of such places and businesses. Such rules and regulations shall include and be in accord with the provisions of this chapter and all other applicable ordinances, statutes and recognized public health and safety practices.

6.04.040 - Right of entry.

No person shall resist or attempt to resist the entrance of the health officer into any railway car, stage, vehicle, building, room, lot or other place in the city in the performance of his duty or shall refuse to obey any lawful order of the health officer made in the performance of his duties within the power conferred upon him by law or by this code.
