74-010 - ESTABLISHMENT OF WELFARE ADVISORY COMMITTEE¶
There is hereby created and established a citizens committee consisting of 15 members, to be known as the Welfare Advisory Committee of Sutter County.

74-020 - PURPOSES¶
The Welfare Advisory Committee shall review all welfare programs and the administration of these programs and make recommendations thereon to the Board of Supervisors of Sutter County, with particular attention to the following areas.
(a) Advice and information to the public of the aims and purposes of welfare legislation, and the problems of the Welfare Department in administering Welfare programs.
(b) Recommendations to the California Legislature and the Congress of the United States with respect to necessary welfare legislature.
(c) Steps which can be taken locally to promote assistance to those who are entitled to it, and to deny aid to those who are not entitled to it.

74-030 - APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS¶
Members of the Welfare Advisory Committee shall be appointed upon the nomination of the members of the Board of Supervisors representing each supervisorial district, as follows: Each member of the Board of Supervisors shall nominate three members to serve on the committee.
Members of the Welfare Advisory Committee shall serve for terms of two years, commencing at noon on the first Monday following the first day of January of every odd numbered year and until the appointment of their successors.

74-040 - ANNUAL REPORTS¶
On or before December 31 of each year the Welfare Advisory Committee shall submit a written report to the Board of Supervisors setting forth a summary of its activities for the year, its findings and recommendations. The committee may make such other reports as its feels are in the public interest.

74-050 - MEETINGS AND PROCEDURE¶
The Welfare Advisory Committee shall adopt such rules as it deems necessary for the transaction of its business, including the method of selection of its officers and the time and place of regular meetings of the Committee and shall keep a written record of its proceedings.

74-060 - VALIDITY¶
If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this Chapter which is reasonably separable from the remaining portion of this Chapter, is for any reason, to be held invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions of this Chapter, it being herein expressly declared that this Chapter and each section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase thereof would have been adopted irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
