18-010 - POSITION CREATED¶
It is hereby created in the County of Sutter the appointive position of County Surveyor, pursuant to the authority of Government Code section 27550.
18-020 - APPOINTMENT—REMOVAL¶
The County Surveyor shall be appointed by a majority of the Board of Supervisors, upon the recommendation of the Development Services Department Director. The County Surveyor shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors, and may be removed by a majority of the Board of Supervisors at any regular meeting without cause.

18-030 - DUTIES¶
The County Surveyor shall be an employee of the Development Services Department, report to, and be supervised by, the Development Services Department Director. The County Surveyor shall have those duties as set forth in chapter 11 of part 3, division 1 (commencing with section 27550) of the Government Code.

18-040 - COUNTY SURVEYOR¶
The County Surveyor shall have the qualifications and licensure of a professional land surveyor as set forth in chapter 15 of division 3 (commencing with section 8700) of the Streets and Highways Code.
