5001.7 Biosafety level 3 and biosafety level 4 operations. The fire code official shall be

notified in writing annually of locations where biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) or biosafety level

4 (BSL-4) operations as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institutes of Health (CDC/NIH) are being performed. Such notification shall identify the location(s) within the building where BSL-3 and BSL-4 operations are conducted and shall certify compliance with the CDC/NIH's recommended practices for such operations.
