§ 10.24.010. Parking prohibited along certain streets.¶
It is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park any vehicle as defined in the Vehicle Code of California, or as hereafter amended, on any day on any of the streets or portions of streets, set forth in the traffic control regulations document where stopping, standing or parking is prohibited and appropriate signs are posted indicating the restriction. § 10.24.015. Parking of vehicles on commercial streets prohibited.¶
It is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park any commercial vehicle as defined in the Vehicle Code of California, or as hereafter amended, having a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of six thousand pounds or more on any of the streets or portions of such streets set forth in the traffic control regulations document where stopping, standing or parking is prohibited and appropriate signs are posted indicating the restriction. § 10.24.020. Parking prohibited during certain hours.¶
It is unlawful for any person to stop, stand, or park any vehicle as defined in the Vehicle Code of California, as may here-after be amended, on the streets or portions of streets, set forth in the traffic control regulations document between the hours indicated in such document opposite the name of each street, where stopping, standing or parking is prohibited and appropriate signs are posted indicating the restriction. § 10.24.030. Parking time limitations along certain streets.¶
It is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park any vehicle as defined in the Vehicle Code of California, or as hereafter amended, on the streets or portions of such streets set forth in the traffic control regulations document, within the city, for a period of time longer than that indicated opposite the name of each street between the respective hours set opposite the name of each street on any day (or on any one day and the next ensuing day) except as provided, where stopping, standing or parking is prohibited and appropriate signs are posted indicating the restriction. § 10.24.050. Regulation of traffic on state highway—Withdrawal of approval—When¶
provision nonoperative.
Any provision of this chapter which regulates traffic, or delegates the regulation of traffic upon state highways in any way for which the approval of CalTrans is required by law, shall cease to be operative six months after receipt by the city council of written notice of withdrawal of approval of CalTrans. Immediately upon the effective date of such revocation, the city clerk shall enter upon the original copy of the ordinance notification of such withdrawal. § 10.24.060. Regulation of traffic on state highway—Prior approval requirement.¶
Whenever this chapter delegates authority to a city officer, or authorizes action by the city council to regulate traffic upon a state highway in any way which by law requires the prior approval of CalTrans, no such officer shall exercise such authority nor shall such action by the city council be effective with respect to any state highway without the prior approval in writing of CalTrans when and to the extent required by Division 9 and Division 11 of the Vehicle Code.
