Chapter 2.12 — OFFICIAL BONDS

All officers and employees, except councilmembers and members of appointive boards and commissions of the city of Sunnyvale, shall be covered by a public employee's and official's honesty blanket position bond in the amount of two hundred fifty thousand dollars. (Prior code § 2-1.01(a); Ord. 1441 § 1, 1968)

A separate public official bond for faithful performance shall be furnished by each of the following certain specific officers and employees in the amounts set opposite their respective title:

(a) Director of finance $1,000,000

(b) Revenue officer 1,000,000

(c) Accounting officer 500,000

(d) City manager 500,000

(e) City attorney 250,000. (Prior code § 2-1.01(b); Ord. 1441 § 1, 1968)

A standard depositor's forgery bond in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars shall be obtained by the city of Sunnyvale. (Prior code § 2-1.01(c); Ord. 1441 § 1, 1968)

The city of Sunnyvale shall pay the premium on each bond to be furnished. (Prior code § 2-1.01(d); Ord. 1441 § 1, 1968)

Each bond shall be filed with the city clerk. (Prior code § 2-1.01(e); Ord. 1441 § 1, 1968)
