2.04.2600 Establishment.

The department of housing is hereby established.

2.04.2610 Department head.

The director of housing shall be the head of the department of housing. (Ord. 25209.)

2.04.2620 Functions, powers and duties.

In addition to those general functions, powers, and duties given to the department head by this chapter and other provisions of this Code, the director shall:

  • A. Administer a program of housing development, conservation and rehabilitation.

  • B. Implement programs of low interest rehabilitation loans.

  • C. Administer housing programs pursuant to cooperation agreements with other federal or state governmental agencies, or local agencies.

  • D. Administer the city's rental rights and referrals program.

  • E. Perform such other programs or functions related to housing or community
