515C.3 Torque Testing of New Bolts. Bolts which are embedded in unreinforced masonry walls shall be tested using a torque calibrated wrench to the following minimum torques:

1/2-inch-diameter bolts – 40 foot-pounds. Col2
(12.7 mm) (5.54 M-Kg)
5/8-inch-diameter bolts – 50 foot-pounds. 5/8-inch-diameter bolts – 50 foot-pounds.
(16 mm) (6.93 M-Kg)
3/4-inch-diameter bolts – 60 foot-pounds. 3/4-inch-diameter bolts – 60 foot-pounds.
(19 mm) (8.31 M-Kg)
