302.1 Mixed Occupancy Buildings. In mixed occupancy buildings, each portion of a building shall comply with the specific [ ← ] measures applicable to each specific occupancy as required by California Code of Regulations Title 24 Part 11 and the San Francisco Green Building Code. However, to fulfill any requirements of San Francisco Green Building Code Sections 4.103 through 4.105 and 5.103 through 5.105, as applicable, the project sponsor may apply a single required green building standard tothe entire building.
Exceptions:
[HCD] Accessory structures and accessory occupancies serving residential buildings shall comply with Chapter 4 and Appendix A4, as applicable.
[HCD] For the purposes of CALGreen, live/work units, complying with Section 419 of the California Building Code, shall not be considered mixed occupancies. Live/work units shall comply with Chapter 4 and Appendix A4, as applicable.
