Sec. 10.20.010. - Police and fire vehicles exempt from certain rules.¶
The provisions of this title (with the exception of sections 10.24.010, 10.24.020, 10.36.020, 10.36.030 and chapters 10.40 and 10.44) regulating the movement, parking and standing of vehicles shall not apply to authorized emergency vehicles, as defined in section 10.04.030, while the driver of any such vehicle is operating the same in an emergency in the necessary performance of public duties.

Sec. 10.20.030. - Driving from alley.¶
The operator of a vehicle emerging form an alley, driveway or garage shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or onto the sidewalk area extending across any alleyway.
