Sec. 31.107. - Required; method generally.

All buildings in the city shall be numbered in accordance with the numbering system shown on the map or maps on file in the office of the city planning department.

Sec. 31.108. - Origin and direction of numbering.

All buildings north of First Street shall be numbered northerly, and all buildings south of the south line of First Street shall be numbered southerly, and the numbers on the streets running east and west shall commence at Pacific Street and be numbered easterly.

Sec. 31.109. - Odd and even numbers.

All even numbers shall be on the northerly and easterly sides of all streets, and odd numbers on the southerly and westerly sides of all streets.

Sec. 31.110. - Prerequisite to issuance of building permit.

When any application is made to the city building official by any person for a building permit, such person shall obtain from the city planning department a proper number for such building before such permit is issued.

Sec. 31.111. - Prerequisite to furnishing city water.

No application for water shall be acted upon and granted until the person applying therefor shall obtain from the office of the city planning department a house number for the lot for which water is desired.

Sec. 31.112. - Size and location of figures.

All house numbers allotted by the city planning department as hereinbefore provided shall be placed in figures at least two (2) inches perpendicular, on the transom over the principal entrance of the building, or at some place on the front of the building, where the number may be easily seen.
