Sec. 2.42. - Definitions.

For the purposes of this article, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:

Equipment means any office machine, motor vehicle or road construction machinery.

Private use means a use other than the official use designated or authorized by the city.

Property means both real and personal property.

Sec. 2.43. - Prohibited generally.

It shall be unlawful for any officer or employee of the city to use or operate, for private purpose, any of the city property or equipment which has been entrusted to him in connection with the discharge of his official duties as such officer or employee.

Sec. 2.44. - City employees, etc., lending to others.

It shall be unlawful for any officer or employee of this city who is in charge of or in possession of any city property or equipment of any kind whatever to lend such property or equipment to any person for private use.

Sec. 2.45. - Use outside city.

It shall be unlawful for any officer or employee of this city to use any city property or equipment outside the corporate limits of the city except when such use is necessary for the discharge of official duties as such officer or employee outside the corporate limits of the city.

Sec. 2.46. - Dismissal.

Any officer or employee violating any provision of this article may also, in addition to any other penalty imposed for the violation thereof, be dismissed.
