Sec. 2.41.1. - Redevelopment Area Commission.¶
Notwithstanding the provisions of Article VII above, there is a separate planning commission for the Redevelopment Project area which is the Community Development Commission.

Sec. 2.41.2. - Powers and duties generally.¶
Within the Redevelopment project area, the duties and responsibilities of a planning commission relating to consideration of zone amendments, use permits or other related entitlements set forth in this Code, the City Zoning or Subdivision ordinance or administration of the Local Coastal Plan are vested in the Community Development Commission. Provisions of any other ordinances or related regulations inconsistent with this article are hereby superceded.

Sec. 2.41.3. - Joint hearings.¶
Where action of both the City Council and the planning Commission are required by law for a matter, a combined hearing of the City Council and the Community Development Commission shall be conducted on the matter to the extent possible.
