2.08.010 - Bonds of officers and employees Generally.

Such officers and employees of the city, as are required by the Charter or by law or by resolution of the city council, are required to enter into individual bonds to the city in the penal sums as may be designated by resolution of the city council, conditioned upon the faithful performance of their duties as they are now or may hereafter be designated and insuring the city against loss of money or property (including that for which the city is responsible) sustained through larceny, theft, embezzlement, forgery, misappropriation, wrongful abstraction, willful misapplication, or other fraudulent or dishonest acts. Such bonds shall run for such period of time as such officers or employees may be in the service of the city.

2.08.020 - Bonds—Execution, approval and filing.

All bonds shall be executed by a responsible corporate surety, shall be approved as to form by the city attorney and shall be filed with the city clerk.
