2.52.010 - Adoption of personnel system.¶
In order to establish an equitable and uniform system for dealing with personnel matters, and to comply with applicable laws relating to the administration of the personnel process, the personnel system set forth in this chapter is adopted.

2.52.020 - Definitions.¶
The terms used to administer the personnel system shall be defined in the personnel rules.

2.52.030 - Administration.¶
The city manager shall be the personnel officer and shall administer the city personnel system consistent with this chapter and the city personnel rules.

2.52.040 - Personnel board.¶
There is by this chapter created a personnel board for the city that shall have the duties and responsibilities set forth in the city personnel rules.

2.52.050 - Competitive service.¶
The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all offices, positions and employments in the service of the city as set forth in the personnel rules.

2.52.060 - Adoption and amendment of rules.¶
The personnel rules shall be adopted by resolution of the city council. The rules may establish regulations governing the personnel system.

2.52.065 - Adoption and amendment of injury and illness prevention program.¶
The injury and illness prevention program shall be adopted and amended by resolution of the city council.

2.52.070 - Appointments.¶
Appointments to vacant positions in the competitive service shall be made in accordance with the personnel rules.

2.52.080 - Probationary period.¶
Probationary periods shall be as provided in the personnel rules.
