2.08.010 - Bonds—City manager.

The city manager shall furnish a corporate surety bond to be approved by the city council in such sum as may be determined by the city council and shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties imposed upon the city manager as prescribed in Chapter 2.12 of this code. Any premium for such bond shall be a proper charge against the city.

2.08.020 - Bonds—Mayor, city treasurer and city clerk.

Before entering upon the duties of their offices, the city clerk, city treasurer and mayor shall each execute a bond to the city. Except as otherwise provided, the bonds shall conform to the provisions of the California Government Code relating to bonds of public officers. The penal sum of the bond shall be in a reasonable amount recommended by the city attorney and fixed by the city council by resolution, and may be changed during their terms of office.

2.08.030 - Bonds—Other officials.

The city council may require bonds of any other officer or employee of the city.

2.08.040 - Bonds—Approval—Filing.

The city council shall approve all bonds. When approved, the clerk's bond shall be filed with the mayor and all other bonds required or authorized by this chapter shall be filed with the city clerk. The premiums on all such bonds shall be paid by the city.

2.08.050 - Salary—Determination authority.

The salaries and compensation of officers and employees of the city shall be as fixed and determined by resolution of the city council, except those fixed in this chapter, or except to the extent that this function shall have been delegated to the city manager.

2.08.060 - Salary—City treasurer.

The city treasurer for the city shall receive a salary from the city as prescribed by law and as fixed by resolution of the city council.

2.08.070 - Salary—Redevelopment agency members.

Pursuant to the authority provided in Health and Safety Code Sections 33114 and 33114.5, the compensation of members of the Mendota redevelopment agency shall be thirty dollars ($30.00) per member for each meeting of the agency attended by the member; however, no member shall receive compensation for attending more than four meetings of the agency during any calendar month. This compensation shall be in addition to reimbursement for their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties.
