2-3.201 - Holidays designated.

2-3.202 - Working on holidays.

Except as otherwise provided in this section, no work shall be required of employees of the City on the holidays set forth in the Personnel Resolution.

Except in specific instances recommended by the heads of the respective departments and approved prior to such holidays by the Council, the employees of the Police Department, the Fire Department, the Park Department, and other employees, if any, performing emergency work shall be required to work on such holidays in accordance with their regular work schedules. Such employees so required to work on such holidays may be given other days off in lieu of such holidays in accordance with recommendations made by the respective department heads and approved by the Council and so as not to interfere with the efficient functioning of such departments.

2-3.203 - Eligibility for holidays.

To be eligible for holidays, employees shall be at work on the scheduled work day immediately before and immediately following the holiday, unless the absence is caused by a bona fide illness or accident or is approved by the Council.

2-3.204 - Office hours: City Treasurer.

The office of the City Treasurer shall be open between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. every weekday, or, if City Hall is regularly open fewer than five days per week, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the days City Hall is open.
