§ 5-17.05. Mandatory reporting of lost or stolen firearms.¶
Any person residing or doing business in the City of Huntington Park who owns, or possesses a firearm, as defined in the California Penal Code, shall report the theft or loss of the firearm to the Huntington Park Police Department within 48 hours after his or her discovery or knowledge of the theft or loss.

§ 5-17.06. Penalty—Misdemeanor.¶
Any person who fails to report a lost or stolen firearm pursuant to Section 5-17.05, when the person knew or should have known of the theft or loss, is guilty of a misdemeanor and is punishable as provided in Section 1-2.01 of this Code.
