§ 5-32.01. Definitions.

For the purposes of this chapter, unless otherwise apparent from the context, certain words and phrases used in this chapter are defined as follows:

"Motor vehicle"

shall mean any automobile, truck, bus, van, motorcycle, or moped.

"Person"

shall mean any person, firm, partnership, or corporation.

"Private property"

shall mean any property or premises not owned by a public agency.

§ 5-32.02. Prohibited parking or sales of motor vehicles on private property.

No person shall sell or permit another to sell or offer for sale motor vehicles on private property unless:

(a) Such sales are made in a zone permitting such activity; and

(b) The seller has a business license issued by the City; and

(c) The seller has a license as an automobile, truck, or motorcycle dealer issued by the State; and

(d) The seller has the consent of the owner or legal occupant of the affected property for such activity.

§ 5-32.03. Exceptions.

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the placing of a "for sale" sign on not more than one motor vehicle which is owned by the person who has the ownership or is a legal occupant of such premises and where such motor vehicle is located on such private property.

§ 5-32.05. Violations: Penalties.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
