§ 2-3.801. Declaration of qualification.¶
The Council hereby declares its intention to qualify to receive aid from the State pursuant to the provisions of the Law Enforcement Standards and Training Act as set forth in Chapter 1 of Title 4 of Part 4 of the Penal Code of the State.

§ 2-3.802. Declaration of adherence to standards.¶
The Council further declares, while receiving such aid, the City shall adhere to the requirements of said act and the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

§ 2-3.803. Adoption of minimum recruitment standards.¶
Minimum Standards for Recruitment of City Police Officers prescribed by Section 1002 of the California Administrative Code are hereby approved and adopted as the minimum standards for the recruitment of police officers for the City.

Minimum Standards for Training of City Police Officers prescribed by Section 1005 of the California administrative Code are hereby approved and adopted as the minimum standards for the training of police officers of the City.
