§ 2-4.01. Publication in authorized newspapers.

All ordinances, ordinance summaries, resolutions, and legal notices required to be published shall be published in a newspaper judicially determined to be a newspaper of general circulation and/or in such other newspaper as the City Council may from time to time, by resolution, motion, minute order or contract, so direct.

§ 2-4.02. Publication of ordinances.

The City Attorney shall draft, and the City Clerk shall cause to be published, all ordinances adopted by the City Council in accordance with Section 2-4.01 of this Code and California Government Code Section 36933. The City Clerk may publish a summary of each ordinance as provided by California Government Code Section 36933(c), unless publication in full is required by law or specifically authorized by City Council.

§ 2-4.03. Duty of City Clerk.

The City Clerk shall cause all ordinances, ordinance summaries, resolutions, and legal notices to be published as required by this chapter and applicable California statutes.
