§ 10.56.010. Residential streets.

Whenever residential streets are unable to withstand weight in excess of four tons without serious damage and deterioration, the superintendent of streets shall prohibit motor vehicles in excess of that weight from traveling thereon. Signs shall be posted at convenient locations indicating the prohibition. Any person violating this restriction is guilty of a misdemeanor.

§ 10.56.020. Metropolitan Transportation Authority's articulated buses—Exemption.

Pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section 35700, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority's articulated buses shall be exempt from the total gross weight limitations set forth in California Vehicle Code Section 35551 and in this chapter.
