2.23.010 - Aid from State.¶
The City Council of the City declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State, and that its Law Enforcement Agency, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, receive aid from the State under the provisions of Section 13522, Title 4, Chapter 1, Article 3 of the California Penal Code. The City shall be entitled to any and all State aid requested and received with the use of City qualifications.

2.23.020 - Adherence to standards.¶
Pursuant to Sections 13510.1 and 13512 of Title 4, Chapter 1, Article 3 of the California Penal Code, the City, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff, acting as the Law Enforcement Agency of the City, while receiving aid from the State pursuant to Chapter 1, will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the Commission on Police Officer Standards and Training.

2.23.030 - Inquiries by Commission.¶
The California Commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed necessary to ascertain that the peace officer personnel of the Law Enforcement Agency adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training provided the City receives all State aid it is entitled to.
