Sec. 27-36. - Determination.

The city council shall from time to time by resolution determine the fares and charges for buses and motor coaches within the city.

Sec. 27-37. - Display of rates.

All buses or motor coaches operated under the provisions of this article shall display conspicuously in the vehicle where it is readily discernible by the passenger a card which shall show the rates of fare as fixed by resolution of the city council and shall be written in both the English and Spanish languages.

Sec. 27-38. - Display of zone maps.

Upon the establishment by the city council of the various zones within the city, the operators of buses or motor coaches shall cause maps of such zones to be prepared, a copy of which shall be placed in each bus or motor coach in a position clearly visible and legible to the passengers.

Sec. 27-39. - Refusal to pay fare unlawful.

Except where credit is extended, it shall be unlawful for any person after hiring a bus or motor coach to refuse to pay the lawful fare as fixed by this article and the resolution of the city council in effect at the time.

Sec. 27-40. - Determination of disputes as to fare.

In case of a dispute as to bus or motor coach fare, the matter shall be determined by the officer in charge at the police station. It shall be unlawful for any person to fail, neglect or refuse to comply with such determination.

Sec. 27-41. - Receipt for fare.

If requested, every driver of a bus or motor coach under this article shall give the passenger making the request a receipt upon payment of the correct fare.
