Sec. 27-21. - Required.

It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of operating any bus or motor coach in the city without first having obtained a certificate of public convenience and necessity from the city council.

Any person desiring a certificate of public convenience and necessity as required in section 27-21 shall file with the city council a verified application requiring the information set forth in section 27-77 concerning taxicabs and showing proof of such valid permits and licenses as may be required by the state and the public utilities commission. All further proceedings and rights concerning the hearing on such application, the issuance of such certificate, the limitation on number of vehicles, the sale of buses, the suspension or revocation of the license and the cancellation or discontinuance of service shall be handled in the same manner as set forth in sections 27-78 through 27-90.
